Se o ódio,
aquele mesmo que as pessoas,
por pura e fútil vaidade,
nutrem umas pelas outras;
aquele mesmo que sustenta
as guerras que assolam o mundo;
aquele mesmo que incita
o derramamento de sangue inocente
por motivos banais e vãos
que superam o valor da vida...
Se o ódio,
aquele mesmo,
tivesse o poder de curar o mundo,
ele já estaria curado.

that same one that supports
the wars that ravage the world;
that same one that incites
the shedding of innocent blood
for banal, vain reasons
that surpass the value of life...
If hatred,
that same one,
had the power to heal the world,
it would already be healed.
